Free IELTS mock test online

Every part of the exam in one place: Listening and Reading tests in the real format, Writing tasks and a full Speaking interview with an AI examiner. You get a band on the official scale after each answer, with an explanation of every mistake.

How the mock test works

  1. Choose a part or take the full Speaking exam. You can start as a guest and save your progress with an account later.
  2. Listening and Reading are checked against the answer key and converted to a band with the official tables.
  3. Writing and Speaking are scored on the four official criteria, with your own sentences shown in a stronger version.
  4. Your results build a plan to your exam date, starting with the section that pulls your overall band down most.

Questions

Is the IELTS mock test really free?

Yes, you can start without a card. During the beta every account has full access to all four parts; after it, a starter set of tasks stays free.

Is it like the real IELTS test?

The tasks follow the official format and timing: four Listening parts played once, 20 minutes per Reading passage, 20 and 40 minutes for Writing and a three-part Speaking interview. It is independent practice, not the official test.

How accurate is the band?

Listening and Reading bands come from correct answers and the published conversion tables. Writing and Speaking are scored against the public band descriptors; treat the band as a close guide rather than an official result.

Is it for Academic or General Training?

Listening, Speaking and Writing Task 2 are the same in both versions. Reading passages here are Academic style; Writing includes General Training letters as well as Academic charts.
