Every year for the New Year, I go home.

I work abroad, and it takes ten hours to fly home.

This year I bought new clothes for Grandpa and Grandma, and a school bag for my little sister.

When I got home, Mom was cooking, and Dad was waiting for me at the door.

Grandpa saw me and said with a smile, "You're back!"

In the evening, our whole family eats together.

On the table there's fish, meat, and dumplings too.

Grandma says you can't celebrate the New Year without fish.

After dinner, we watch TV and sing songs, and everyone is very happy.

At midnight, we say to each other, "Happy New Year!"

I hope I can spend the New Year with my family again next year.
